Storyline:
The show gets off to a great start by telling the complex and engrossing story of astronaut Jo Ericsson. Jo is stranded on a damaged International Space Station as a result of a tragic experiment with novel material. Because there isn’t enough room on the evacuation shuttle, Jo stays on the ISS and is given the difficult job of making it down to Earth without incident while protecting her experiment. However, as Jo’s sense of reality starts to falter, the situation takes an odd turn. She sees visions of her kid getting lost in a blizzard and her being helpless to help her, much like a scene from Shutter Island.
