Storyline:
When there are few hours of daylight during the harshest period of winter in Iceland’s Westfjords, a crew of fishermen settles in. After Magnus, the leader, passed away, his widowed wife Eva became the boat’s owner and de facto foreman. Due to a lack of food, they rely on strong alcohol, each other’s companionship. Because of her pagan views, Helga, the group’s cook, might be the best storyteller of all. She tells a tale of a brother who killed another sibling.
