Storyline:
The fact that the main character of Hit Man has to constantly put on a show as part of his work as a law enforcement officer by adopting a variety of bizarre personas in order to persuade those who would hire him that he is a genuine assassin is a little ironic. The film switches locations from Houston to New Orleans, and the first scene finds Powell’s Gary, a professor of psychology and philosophy who is dressed in sexless khakis and has unflattering sideswept bangs, instructing his students in an amicable manner about the concept of identity. these homeroom scenes show up irregularly, dwelling on a generally clear point about the self’s variability. Divorced Gary lives a dull domestic life with two cats named Id and Ego. He eats cereal for dinner and spends his free time reading and watching birds.
