Storyline:
The Philip Martin-directed biographical drama film Scoop explores the backstage aspects of an interview that took place in 2019 between host of “Newsnight,” Emily Maitlis, and Andrew. Due of Andrew’s connections to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as accusations of sexual abuse, this interview was necessary. Keeley Hawes portrays Amanda Thirsk, Andrew’s publicist, while Billie Piper plays McAlister, the producer of Newsnight and the interview.
