The film opens with Dugdale taking in the lavish surroundings of Russborough after the heist, only to storm out in a fit of rage. Her unkempt wig and smeared eyeshadow bear a striking resemblance to the Joker; however, in contrast to the Clown Prince of Crime, who revels in disorder, Baltimore adopts a more measured strategy. Although the crime and its context are compelling, Dugdale’s life is depicted in a rather straightforward manner on screen. Baltimore recounts Dugdale’s story through the convenient mechanism of flashbacks, highlighting pivotal moments from her life before her foray into terrorism as if they were mere bullet points from a Wikipedia article.
