Storyline:
For the operation’s leader, Roone Arledge, and his staff, the day starts off normally. But shortly after, there are reports of what seem to be gunshots emanating from inside the Olympic village. Producer Geoffrey Mason suggests putting one of the cameras outdoors to get a close-up of the building where the events are taking place as the scenario develops and it becomes clear that a hostage crisis is taking place. As he requests authorization to report on the developing issue, Arledge encounters opposition from the news department. As the sports crew tries to react appropriately to this possibly fatal situation, tension builds.
